Customer Review: Vet recommended excellent entertainment, cheap product
This is one of the few ‘toys’ that truly fascinated our 2 cats, and kept them running and entertained for as long as we used it versus playing with other toys for a few minutes before getting bored. We’ve never seen them more mesmerized by this, especially when slowly moving across a wall or ceiling out of reach. After we’d stop, they’d be wide-eyed waiting for it to reappear, or searching for where the light went.
My wife was concerned this was causing a mental trauma. We spoke to a couple vets who said this is perfectly fine and stimulating entertainment both physically and mentally and not to worry.
The problem with this product is two-fold:
a) the batteries run out quite quickly, and they are not as easy or cheap to replace as other laser pointers that use rechargeable AA or even AAA batteries, so look for those instead.
b) the flimsy made item’s button broke within a few months of light usage. cheap to replace the item, but you may replace it often.

Situation: I have 2 small Jack Russels and a Basset Hound. I wanted a pretty wooden dog house with a removable roof. Positive: I priced the materials to construct my own and it was the same as this product (without shipping). Construction is super simple. Only a screwdriver is needed. The wood is cedar and smells great. I did not screw in the roof and it holds up just fine. Negative: The wood is easily dented. People can easily purchase or construct their own wind breaker for the entrance.

DO NOT BELIEVE THIS LINE: “Precision Pet Outback Log Cabin provides shelter during the winter and shade during the summer in a charming design that looks great in any backyard. Solid wood construction.” There is NO WAY this could provide shelter on a winter day, this couldn’t protect from a gust of wind on a late spring day, let along a cold gust in winter. Summer? maybe. The feet are wood, untreated, and I expect them to be rotted off by this time next year. This dog house was BARELY large enough for my SMALL FRAMED 75 pound lab. The reviewer who said his two extra large dogs fit in in, well, maybe they fit if their limbs were detachable. My dog couldn’t stretch out all the way, it is NOT that large. VERY poor quality wood, felt more like balsam wood than fir. The wood roof just soaks up rain because it is untreated, leaving the underside (inside the house) moist and damp. NO, I did NOT like this dog house. I would have given it only ONE star but my dog doesn’t live in his doghouse! He is a housepet, but I wanted something to protect him in case I was running late on an errand or something and the weather turned bad. I wanted to make sure he had reliable shelter until I got home, for piece of mind. But this dog house did not fit the bill. I moved this out of the dog run (by myself, because it is light and cheap) and Installed a LARGE real cedar dog house with insulation. With help, because good quality wood is obviously heavier than this contraption. I also believe the reviewer who said their floor broke. My dog weighs 75 pounds, and that is about the limit this floor could have taken. This dog house will NOT protect your dog from the elements, there is NO door cover, not even a slight lip to prevent rain or wind from going in, and the roof and sides are stained but NOT WATERPROOF. You will have to use a waterproofer if you want this dog house to withstand one season, let alone FOUR. Also, it really bugged me, the picture and description state LOG EXTERIOR. There are NO LOGS, just cheap planks. They look exactly like panel planks you can buy at lowes. I counted all the planks, the wood on this if you got it from Lowes would have been about $20. I did recieve this very fast and it was packaged well. And it LOOKS nice. But really it isn’t good quality at all. Buyer beware.

Based on the stated shipping weight (20.2 pounds) I thought these would be substantial, full size bagels. Nope, just little bagel treats. The dogs like them just fine, just not what I expected based on the description.

I can’t give this product 5 stars because the blankets are a little small. My cats do gravitate towards them and they certainly heat up while they’re lying on them. The only negative is you’ll likely want to buy 2-3 blankets if you have a chubby cat or more than one.
Customer Review: Anytime warmth
I recently purchased two Slumber Pet Thermal Cat Mats - one for each cat. My older cat with arthritis loves them and is very happy to have two distinct “warming stations” she can use whenever she likes - so far, my kitten isn’t interested in these mats at all. I ordered this product based on concern for my older cat’s health and comfort, so I am not at all disappointed in the results. They are cozy, smart-looking, affordable and very portable; and especially great if you don’t want to fuss with microwaving a warming core or worrying about a plug-in product while you aren’t home. I am happy to have two mats and would recommend this product as especially good for older cats that need a little extra TLC.
