I agree with the review that this is a great idea but no matter how much you wet the toy it does not freeze completely. It would be perfect if it stayed frozen longer. My puppies are excited when I take the toys from the freezer but after a minute or so that excitement wears off because now all they have it a wet soft toy.

Customer Review: City of Hope
Writer/director Brad Anderson’s intelligent and easygoing fable about love and serendipity made me a Hope Davis fan for life. Davis plays a laid back Bostonian who finds her love life set adrift after her pompous environmental activist boyfriend (Philip Seymour Hoffman) suddenly decides that dashing off to save the earth is more important than sustaining their relationship. Her story is paralleled with that of a charming and unassuming single fellow (Alan Gelfant) who aspires to become a marine biologist. Both parties find themselves politely deferring to well-meaning friends and relatives who are constantly trying to fix them up with dates. I don’t think it’s a spoiler to tell you that these two are destined to end up together! The film seems to have been inspired by A Man and a Woman, right down to its breezy bossa nova/samba soundtrack.

I love this movie. I love the characters, the way they’re developed, and the humor. I love love love Hope Davis. She epitomizes who I’d love to be and how savvy I wish I was. A wonderful movie, full of scenes to replay in memory over and over.

Customer Review: Great for infants
My 3 month old son loves to lay under this activity gym and watch the toys;he is starting to kick at the ball. I love the tummy time feature and he really likes looking in the mirror at himself. My only complaint is that the arch does not keep its shape very well. It has to be rolled up in the activity mat to return its shape. I haven’t used it as a tunnel yet but I’m sure my older kids will have fun playing peek-a-boo with him when we do. It definitely grows with your child. We’ve used it since he as a couple of weeks old.

This is a great gym that doesn’t take up too much space. My baby loves it now that it’s been converted into a tunnel. She sits in it all the time. The toys are great, but she never really liked them attached to the gym when she was laying on her back. They are very large and hung very close to her face. But she loves to play with them separate from the gym. All in all, I think it’s a good buy.

Customer Review: Does what it claims
We have a 9 year old lab mix who has terrible arthritis, making it tough for him to jump up into my Toyota Highlander. But he loves to go on walks. I recently pulled out my back trying to lift him up into the car (he weighs about 80 pounds), so I was looking for a solution to make it easier to take him to our local nature trails where he is allowed to run off lead. This unit works very well and I highly recommend it.

After reading review of this and other products, I chose the Petstep. There is nothing to do for assembly, although it was delivered with bracing that allows you to lock the unit in the unfolded position. It is slightly awkward to fold and unfold, but given what it is designed to do, I can’t imagine any way to build it that would make it easier, except perhaps to add handles to the sides.

The unit folds and unfolds pretty easily. There is a spring loop catch to hold it closed. I don’t know how long that will last, but it seems adequate. It is not so heavy that lifting it into the car is a problem. I usually put the dogs in the cargo area and then the ramp fits on the floor of the back seat.

The ramps is pretty solid when unfolded. The treads are rubberized for traction. The unit is rated for 250 or 300 pounds, so I decided to try it myself. At 200 pounds, when I walked up it, it felt a bit unstable, especially at the center. For the dog, though, it is perfectly adequate.

I did not find much merit to those who claim there is a pinching hazard. It would be odd to have your fingers placed anywhere near the crush points while folding this. And there are clear labels warning of the hazard.

The world has plenty of R&B vocalists, but when it comes to actual R&B bands–you know, the ones with actual musicians playing actual instruments–the pickings are on the slim side. With Tony Toni Tone AWOL, Mint Condition are not only the template for contemporary R&B bands but practically the only contenders in the category. Yet the lack of competition hasn’t made them any less eager or hungry. In fact, the band’s fifth CD, its first on Elektra, is its most focused to date. Written and produced by the band, Life’s Aquarium finds Mint Condition in a more sexually aggressive mood than on their previous CDs. That assertiveness is evident on cuts such as the rugged “Touch That Body,” the jittery bump-and-grind of “Who Can You Trust,” and the soft wet kisses of “Pretty Lady” (the latter featuring a cameo from the Gap Band’s Charlie Wilson). Where once Mint Condition showed off their chops by launching into extended but aimless jazz-fusion riffs, or tried to impress the listener with chord changes and arpeggios straight out of a music-comp course, they now bypass the showboating and stick to simple but effective songs. Customer Review: SWIMMING IN LIFE’S AQUARIUM
I hear a lot of griping from fans of classic R&B artists such as Teddy Pendergrass, Al Green, and Marvin Gaye that the new class of R&B singers aren’t real. They say they’re studio-enhanced, backed up by all electronic instruments, and no one plays their own instruments or is backed by a live band anymore. Mint Condition makes these folks eat their words. With 4 of the best records to bless R&B in the 90’s and beyond, Mint Condition is a multi-talented group of men who can have anyone who loves the classics vibing to their tracks. “Life’s Aquarium” is their fourth offering (there first on Elektra Records), and it comes through just as lovely as everything they’ve put out before. The first single, “If You Love Me” is a beautiful track showcasing the feelings of a man who needs reassurance of the affections his woman says she has for him. “This Day, This Minute, Right Now” is another beautiful ballad, this time with Stokeley (MC’s lead singer) professing his undying love, beginning right now. Other tracks that are unbeatable are “Pretty Lady”, featuring the legendary Charlie Wilson, of Gap Band fame. The uptempo “Be Like That Sometimes” deals with life’s trials and tribulations, and “Just The Man For You” is yet another sweet ballad, this time with Stokley attempting to convince a woman that they’re made for each other. If you’ve never listened to a Mint Condition album, this would be a good one to introduce you to their style. I would recommend this for any R&B fan, especially those fed up with all the “digitized” artists that are out there now.

I began playing the free version of this game online and that’s how I became addicted. I just had to buy this game because I needed to play. It keeps your attention well, and the gameplay is ever changing. I’ve had this booster seat for my 3lb chihuahua for several weeks now, and we both, (my dog and myself) really enjoy it. Before, I had to drive with Cosmo in my lap raised up on his hind feet to see out of the window. This felt dangerous. The seat allows Cosmo to see in all directions and the strap keeps him safely inside the seat so he can’t jump out the window or go flying if I brake suddenly. One suggestion though, use a harness rather than a collar to hook you dog in so they don’t jump over the side and “hang”. At first Cosmo would get wound up in the safety strap but has since learned how to move about without getting tangled. I recommend this seat to anyone with a small, curious dog.

Customer Review: Be careful that you have the right sized car seat for this product.
Have the wrong-sized bucket seats, I guess. This booster seat won’t lay flush against the back of car seat. This will cause the booster seat to tip over, as there nothing’s to support the booster. Called the company asking about return policy (had free shipping). They claimed I’d have to pay the shipping charge ($20 plus) to send the product back, which is nearly half the purchase price. Not a good deal. Be sure the booster seat will fit flat inside the contours of your bucket seat. It may be well worth your time to take careful measurements. Hope this review was useful. Thanks.

Most software programs over-promise and under-deliver, but such is not the case with the Serene Screen Aquarium software! I was first attracted to this product during the launch of WindowsXP, where it was used during the presentation as an example of the 3D capabilities of XP, plus as eye-candy for the demonstration. Oddly enough, the most impressive thing about the presentation was not WindowsXP, but the cool aquarium screen saver they were demonstrating! (I did purchase XP, however, it turns out it is much more than just a cool OS to run a screen saver on…) Unfortunately, the Amazon-provided information here does nothing to sell the product. Shame on Amazon. …P>I purchased the CD-ROM after using the demo version …, and it was well worth the money. The fish are rendered incredibly well, and my 2-year-old just loves watching the fish swim around, and she loves being able to look at the back of the jewel case and pick out her favorite fish to place in the “fish tank.” A free download … is available to add a Lionfish to the assortment of species. This fish is a shining example of the care that is put into the rendering of each fish! At all times, the movements of each fish are very realistic and not at all jumpy or fake-looking. The display looked as good and was as smooth on my Pentium 3 450MHz system as it does now on my new Pentium 4 2.4GHz system, so you should have no problems running it on any machine made in the last several years. I highly recommend this software, it’s worth the money! It may also encourage the software developers to continue producing additional features and variations of the theme, some of which are already being announced.
Customer Review: What a wonderful screensaver!
This screensaver is the most realistic aquarium screensaver available, bar none. The fish are all 3d-rendered (you can even turn on wireframe mode if you wish!), the lighting and coral look completely realistic, and the fish swim in front of and behind the coral and rocks. The starfish actually even climbs the glass. I adore this screensaver. The best part: I don’t have to arrange for someone to come in and feed my fish while I’m on vacation!

Customer Review: Please don’t use antibacterial soap — even the FDA questions their use!
Antibiotic resistant bacteria are a *huge* problem in this country. Antibacterial soaps have been conclusively found to be no more effective at killing germs than plain old soap and water. There is great concern about increasing resistance due to the widespread use of these products in everything from hand soap to toothpaste to tile cleaner. Even the FDA called them into quesiton this fall — Google “FDA antibacterial soap” for lots of information. Please — for the sake of your children, your elderly parents, and mine, don’t fall for the manipulative advertising that leads you to think these products make your family safer — the opposite is the truth. (rated a 1 only because I had to rate it something)
