Customer Review: Exceptional Cat Food
Newman’s Own Organics Cat food is exceptional. With the recent pet food scandals, it is inconceivable that anyone would purchase the standard brands: Nutro (this ‘fake natural’ food had the tainted Chinese ingredient), Purina, Dr. Fosters & Smith, Iams, Science Diet, Eukanuba, Hills, Royal Canin, Purina, etc. I have one adult cat, nearly 16 yrs old, who is only ~4.5 lbs. She has always been small, however she was always been healthy. She needs to graze all day. I have another adult cat who was declawed by his prior owner and made to be an outdoor cat. He was food deprived for many years and has an eating disorder. He needs a constant supply of food as well. In addition to the dry food, we feed them a bit of canned food. Their eating habits with the canned food are the same as with dry food. I first purchased a very rich, and especially appealing brand of organic dry food. The small cat loved it. The largest cat, overweight at ~26 lbs, loved it too much. We tried another organic brand that was eaten by both cats. Unfortunately, the 4.5 lb cat was not especially attracted to it. Yet another very good organic brand, Wellness, was disliked by both. However, both cats love Newman’s Own. The smaller cat eats it very well and the large cat loves it, but not to the point of gaining more weight. Pros: * Organic * Ease of mind * Healthy for cats. * Loved by my cats. * Available at Whole Foods and now Amazon!!! * The prices for the newly downsized bags at retail outlets are reasonable. Cons: * Not available at my nearest grocery store. * Recently downsized at both Target and Whole Foods from 3 lbs to 4 lbs. * Discontinued at Walmart and Target. * Recently downsized to 1 lb at Whole Foods. All in all, this food is a winner. Newman’s Own Organics meets the needs of these two cats who have very different, and special, eating needs. To top it off, the prices of the food on Amazon are great! Great going Newman’s Own and Amazon!

…it took FOREVER to get to me. my cat loves Newman’s so we made due, but I would either order a month before you need it or look somewhere else.

Customer Review: I shouldn’t have waited so long…
Do you ever have one of those books that you go “I’ll buy this later” or “I’ll read this another time” for years? This one was my white whale. For years I picked up and put this book down over and over and till finally I gave in and starting reading it. I usually read science fiction and action/adventure so this was quite a shock to my system, and it was a good shock indeed. You would think for such a long book the pacing would have been like a dinosaur, but instead I flew from page to page, chapter through chapter eating up this tale of a horror stalking the slums of 1896 New York. Mr. Carr did an especially good job with characterization, bring his crew to life including New York itself. Don’t start this book if you have any plans for the next couple of days cause you will break every date until you’ve finished this book. 5 stars, definitely.
Customer Review: Raging Roosevelt Meets Freud
The Alienist is probably about 100 pages too long, yet nonetheliss quite thrilling. It is not really a mystery, more a study in morbid psychology. Its characters are varied, from Theodore Roosevelt down to the boy-whore rapist and killer. Some of the details seem anachronistic to me, more what New York was like some twenty years earlier. Overall, if you like gory thrillers thick with atmosphere and with splendid character development, this is a book you will want to read more than once.
