Customer Review: Product worked as advertised
I followed the instructions and within days, the grass grew exactly as pictured on the product page. I have 3 cats and the first cat didn’t like it, the second cat did like it, and the third cat loved it. The problem was that the two cats that ate it would throw up shortly after eating it. I tried to limit the amount they’d eat, so their bodies could get used to it, but they never did adapt. I ended up throwing it out.

Customer Review: Ssscat system review
We have owned the Ssscat system for a year now, and I can honestly say it WORKS!! Our cats HATE it!! It is harmless, but does what it claims. One our cats has figured out that if he knocks the can over, it renders it useless (smart cat). They avoid the can at all times. Now, the downside. The price of the spray cans is OBSCENE!! We purchase them in the 6-pak, to save money. The sensitivity of each unit is not the same ( we own 4 ). I also think that the spray heads do not all fit securely to the can, and in time the gas leaks out. So, when not being used, remove the spray head. I had hoped that merely the sight of the can would work, but they soon figure out that it does not spray. Our cats periodically test them to see if they still spray, and know when they are empty. I hope the company improves on the quality of the spray heads, and reduces the price of the spray. The product DOES work as advertised.
Customer Review: Use a different Refill
The SSSCAT deterrent works very well. We use it at the end of a hallway to keep the cats from marking. The only complaint is the refills are both expensive and small. However I have found that I can put the sensor on top of different types of pressurized cans to make it more economical, just make sure the pressurized cans you used would not hurt the cats.

This book is filled with lots of wonderful information for starting your first saltwater aquarium. However, it reads like a dictionary. It’s simply need-to-know information without much rhythm. I found myself actually nodding off while trying to read this book at 5 p.m. More pictures would probably have helped keep my interest, but I can’t say for sure. Otherwise, Saltwater Aquariums for Dummies had useful information that I was able to apply to my aquarium hobby.

Customer Review: Wonderful Filter
I just set up my 2nd 50 gallon fish tank and decided to try this filter set up instead of the FilStar Canister Filter that I have used for years in my original tank. I don’t know if you need to but I am using 2 of these filters in my tank. They do a marvelous job, the extra filter works great, you just put it in for a few hours and your tank is crystal clear! The main advantage I see to these filters is, since they sit at the back top of your tank you never have to worry about the filter leaking. There have been a couple of times I haven’t gotten the lid quite sealed enough on my canister filter and woke up to 3 inches of water in my tank cabinet. Fortunately my husband built the cabinet quite sturdy and water proof!

This book is an outstanding and easy to read resource for anyone who is interested in setting up an aquarium. I read it cover to cover. I often refer to it as “my fish Bible”! I have lent this book to friends who were troubleshooting common aquarium problems, and they too have found it to be extremely useful. The goal of the book is to give you a wealth of information BEFORE you buy your tank and your fish. It will help you to not make common mistakes. However, this book is a great resource or “refresher course” for those already interested and involved in the fishkeeping hobby. This book is an overview on the main setup of a freshwater tank. While it does go into individual species a bit, you may want to get more specific and specialized books about the species you are interested in. The parts about individual species are not very in-depth. Overall — this is a fantastic resource, and your fish will thank you for getting this book! Good luck, and happy fishkeeping!

Most others have said most things, but I wanted to add this. Take a look at PetsMart. In my area, they sell some other brands, but when they are working on their own tanks, they use a Python!! This thing is an absolute necessity if you are going to maintain your aquariums the way they should be maintained. Take care of it, and it will last you for decades.
