Customer Review: Worth every penny and then some
I am a beginning reefkeeper and have purchased a number of books on the hobby, including this one. In my opinion this is easily the best book on what it takes to actually assemble a functioning, thriving reef tank. The chapter on plumbing (parts, layouts, pumps, etc) alone is worth the price of the book and that’s just one chapter! Contrary to other reviews on here I don’t think the material is daunting…I think it’s relevant. Why jump into a hobby that is recreating an ecosystem if you don’t have the knowledge to do so? It’s not difficult to understand, and what I’ve found is that in many places when something is explained, that in text could be hard to understand, there is usually an illustration, chart, or picture to make it clear. Kudos! I would easily pay double for this book now that I’ve read it, and this will serve as my main reference on tank issues moving forward.

An excellent reference, with rationale, pros and cons of just about every facet of reef keeping. If your new to reef aquariums this book could be overwhelming, but could also keep you from making mistakes. A bit deep and technical, but worth plowing through it. Keep it handy.

These shoes are fantastic. Ultra comfortable, even if you’re on your feet all day. The instep is very padded and the heal doesn’t feel nearly as high as it is. I have the black ones and they have a lovely sheen that is more subtle than patent leather. I get compliments on them all the time when I wear them with slacks to work. Not as dressy as other more sleek pumps, but they dress up well.

These trains came securely package from Amazon, and my 5 year old son loves them! He’s had them for 4 months, and no sign of leakage. (And believe me, he’s rough on them! He stores his trains in a Thomas backpack, so they are jostled around with wooden and die-cast trains.) The pale blue liquid is clear enough to see the pink octopus and gray shark, and the plastic encasement is very thick. What a fun addition to the Thomas line, especially if your child has the “Down At The Docks” picture book that these trains are based upon.

I used this book as a card on a shower present. I got her a baby bathtub with towels and bath toys and this was the topper. It’s a cute book. Not much content and the blow up duck that comes with it is rather useless. But it’s cute. I have no clue how a kid will like it, but it worked well as a gift tag and got some awes at the shower.

Rescuing Sprite: A Dog Lover’s Story of Joy and Anguish
Although Mark Levin is known as a constitutional lawyer and a nationally syndicated broadcaster, he is, first and foremost, a dog lover. In 1998, he and his family welcomed a half-Border Collie/half-Cocker Spaniel they named Pepsi into their lives. Six years later, his wife and son persuaded him to adopt a dog from the local shelter, a Spaniel mix. It turned out he was older than originally thought, and he was the most beautiful dog they’d ever seen. They named him Sprite. Their lives would never be the same.

Sprite and Pepsi became fast friends. They did everything together, from rummaging through the trash to loudly greeting the deliveryman. And the Levin family fell in love with him — with his gentle nature, beautiful face and soft, huggable fur. But on Halloween night, shortly after joining their family, Sprite suddenly collapsed and was rushed to the animal hospital. Comfort came from family, fans, and friends, and between Thanksgiving and Christmas 2006, the Levin family said their emotional final goodbye. Crushed and consumed with grief, Mark turned to family, friends, and fans for help.

But new hope came when the Levins least expected it.

It is obvious that Mr. Levin loved this dog. It is such a sad and at the same time uplifting story. I couldn’t read it straight through - too many tears but each time I set it down I hugged and kissed my 3 dogs and told them how much I loved them. It is such a touching story, heartfelt and sincere. You can feel his pain and agony as he shares his story with his reader. Excellent

Customer Review: Too scary and freaky
My kids usually love the Scooby Doo shows and movies. However, this movie was far too scary for them. I am not a prude. I have no problem with the movie’s references to Wican religion. And generally I don’t have problems with stories/movies featuring witchcraft or magic, such as Harry Potter. However, the real witch that appears near the middle of this movie is very scary and the storyline gets freaky. It is a full reversal from the other Scooby Doo mysteries always ending with a logical explanation for all the things that have happened in the show(i.e. robots or a person in costume). We watched this once and threw it in the garbage.

Customer Review: Can’t get enought deep house
I am giving this 5 stars based on Ben Watt’s portion of the program. I find his set a vast improvement over the first Lazy Dog, which I thought was inconsistent and boring in parts. He has really perfected his craft. Every song is distinctive and engaging. I am a big guitar fan and the song ‘the guitar’ is particularly notable. I found this CD based on hearing the Sade remix, which is quite brilliant. If you like that song I can almost guarantee you will like the rest of the disc. Great music for going out to a dance club, it will get you pumped up! This is one of the first CDs I give people when giving recommendations. So far I have found this to be my favorite when compared to Buzzin Fly and Lazy Dog 1. Start here. As far as the Jay Hannon portion, I have had trouble getting into this. I find it boring and lose interest quickly. Ben Watt’s set is worth the price though.

Customer Review: I’m getting old
You know you’re getting old when you’re excited about an air purifier. I have two cats, so i’ve wanted one for a while, but never wanted to invest in one. Now that i’m living in a one room studio I had no choice. I was going to get a cheap one, but after reading the reviews I made an impulse buy late one night and shelled out for this one. I’ve only had it for a week, so problems could arise in the future, but so far I’m glad I got it. It looks great, so you don’t have to worry about having a big clunky purifier taking up space. It’s about dead silent too. I have it on low right now about 3 feet from me and can’t even hear it. Both sensors work. A few minutes after I turn the light off to go to sleep the light sensor sets the speed to low. I have a cat box about 10 feet from the purifier. Whenever I clean it out dust gets in the air. After a minute or two, if set to auto, the purifier increases it’s speed to get rid of the bad air. No complaints so far, and hopefully it stays that way.

I had never written a review for any product before.

Tried all types of air purifiers / odor removers, and this has got to be the best system out there. Amazingly quiet while being able to push through and purify high volumes of air, even at the lowest setting, which is absolutely silent. In our apartment, normally we had problems with kitchen air after cooking, especially frying food; with this system, food / grease odor is reduced within 10-20 minutes, and eliminted COMPLETELY in the next hour or so. I could not detect a hint of food odor after 2 hours. Living in the city, we have air problems. Now, interior air is drastically improved along with my persistent sinus issues. I replaced every other air purifiers in my apartment with rabbit air minusA2’s. The unit is very easy on the eye and non-obtrusive. And once again, when the unit is on one of the lower settings, it is completely inaudible.

I contacted Rabbit Air support for some billing issues and some technical issues, and was greeted very courteously and professionally. The support staffs were very knowledgeable and helpful. I am absolutely happy with this air purifier and highly recommend to anyone who is seriously looking for ways to improve air quality and odor removal.

pros: silent, very effective at odor removal and air purification, most aesthetically pleasing system out there, one of the thinnest profile out there, and it truely works

cons: a bit pricey, filter replacement cost

Rub-a-dub-dub! From earliest infancy to toddler-hood, the Aquarium Bath Center from Fisher-Price provides three stages that grow with baby. The versatile sling feature means baby can get squeaky clean in comfort while mom and dad are assured by its safety.

The sling attached as a hammock provides comfort for infants.

For newborns, the sling is attached to both ends of the tub like a hammock. This creates a platform that comfortably cradles baby’s entire body and keeps them above the tub’s water level. For infants, the sling attaches to only the narrow end of the tub, providing trunk and neck support for those who can’t sit up by themselves yet. We have had this for three months. Our daughter is smaller, and was just 10 pounds at 2 months old but she is LONG. She loves this tub. The “bump” has never given us any issues. This is the best hammock tub I have ever used or seen. No need for sponges that get moldy or gross quickly. We gave our daughter her first baths in this tub, back when we were supposed to only “sponge bath” because the hammock kept her belly and cord dry. She loves lying in the water and hanging her feet over the edges of the hammock. Bathtime is one of her favorite times. The sprinkler and cup are nice and we use them with each bath, and I love how they attach to the hook and tether, so that when we drain the rub and lean it up against the wall or stash it in the closet, the cups are attached and we don’t have to worry about them. She isn’t sitting up entirely on her own yet so we haven’t used the tub without the sling. But just for the three months we have used it, it was well worth the investment. We initially used it on the kitchen counter, but after about two weeks we started sitting it inside our bathtub. It’s a nice product! the mesh sling dries quickly between baths, unlike a sponge.
