Customer Review: Marine Aquarium (Blu-Ray)
I watched this over the weekend. The disc contains three different “vignettes” of underwater marine life titled “Sunrise,” “Mediterranean,” and “Caribbean.” They all contain the usual reef marine life including, but not limited to, corals, sponges, anemones, clown fish, damsels, angels, and a variety of tangs. Even has the occational sea shrimp. All sequences are static scenes, no pan & scan, no narration. There is an accompanying musical score which was written especially for this disk by the award winning Gutleut Studios in Frankfurt, Germany which ebbs and flows along with the scenes and the accompanying ocean sounds. The total running time of the entire disc is 114 minutes. Each of the three scenes last 38, 33, and 43 minutes respectively. It is shot in 4K resolution with the audio track presented in 5.1 DTS-HD High-Res Audio Surround Sound. Picture quality in my opinion is near perfect - you can distinguish the floating particulate and plankton in the water. The near neon color of fish is extremely well represented. Having owned a 180 gallon saltwater “marine” aquarium for 15 years I can say that nothing is more immersive than the real thing! However, having said that, this is the next best thing and is EXTREMELY more affordable . After I initially watched this. I replayed it and sat in my favorite chair to enjoy a little reading. I found myself constantly looking away from my book to enjoy and take in the sights and sounds of the “virtual” aquarium being presented on my screen. If you’ve ever owned an aquarium you know exactly what I am referring to. At any rate, overall, I would give this a 4.5 out of 5.0 for PQ & AQ and recommened it to all…especially if you want an ocean experience on a goldfish bowl budget!

Customer Review: Okay, but a few problems
This is an easy, mindless game that can be a lot of fun. It does, however, have a few problems. 1) No instructions. It’s easy to figure most things out, but it took me nearly an hour to figure out how to take decorations out of the aquarium once I put them in. And then once I figured it out, I forgot again because it wasn’t very intuitive. 2) You have to feed your fish every single day or they die. I know that you should feed real fish daily, but if you forget, they’ll live. These don’t. If you go one day without feeding them, you’ll get treated to a tank full of floating fishies when you get back. 3) You can use your aquarium as a screensaver, but if you do, you can’t take care of your fish. They’re just there to be a screensaver. To actually feed and care for your fish, you have to play the game out of screensaver mode. 4) It takes forever to get all of your fish to eat. Real fish do not just swim around and ignore food if they’re about to starve. But despite these flaws, it’s fun. It’s educational for a kid, and since the fish die at the slightest hint of neglect, it’s a good teaching tool for a child that swears he or she is ready for a puppy. And the screensaver is pretty cool, even though it takes all the gameplay out of the game.

Nice enough looking fish and water habitats, but the game is unchallenging and therefore probably not all that interesting to most adult players. There are also no instructions (from what I could tell). You kind of have to figure it out yourself, which isn’t hard, but I still would have liked clearer objectives to the game. I also couldn’t figure out how to make the aquarium my screensaver, as it says you can on the box. I much prefer “Fish Tycoon” (Activision), where you have to earn the money to buy supplies, and you can sell fish you breed and discover new species.

Customer Review: Where does the water go???
I received this product as a gift when my son was a few months old. After having it in storage for a couple of years I took it out this morning to put it up for my daughter and there’s barely any water left. I called the consumer number on the back and I was told that yes, sometimes the water evaporates but no one knows where it goes. I was told it was a mystery. And there’s no way to replace it. I expected a little something other than an “I’m sorry” from the very nice woman I spoke with, but no. We liked it very much for my son and would have given it a four star rating, but based on the fact that it does not survive the test of time, I give it only one star. As far as discarding it, I was told to bring it to an electronics recycler. There goes a few more bucks on a toy that has no use to me. Sigh.

My mother bought this new for my first son when he was born three years ago. They weren’t selling it at Babies R Us anymore because of a newer version, but she insisted on this one and was bummed that it wasn’t available. My older sister used it for her son and raved about it, that’s why my mother wanted this one specifically. Luckily we found one, only one, at Baby Depot (Burlington Coat Factory) for only 11.95. My boys absolutely love it. My older son used it in the nursery until he got a “big boy” room at 18 months, after his little brother was born. Our younger son doesn’t use it for sleeping anymore but it entertains him in the morning so he doesn’t wake up crying. Music mode, running water mode, and also a mode with soothing lights and bubbles (with or without music). I know it’s expensive now but if someone gives you one, keep it! If you find one second-hand, buy it! Don’t hesitate.

The materials seem high quality for this crib set, however, the picture they show does not show the exact colors. Underneath the comforter is a bright lime green color, and everything else is pretty much lime green too! Do you see that in any of the pictures they show you? I don’t! The set is A LOT brighter than the pictures show. Judging by the pictures, I assumed the set was pastel. The bib is the kind you have to tie in back, not a velcro one which I would think is much safer than the tying kind they send you in the set. Well worth the price though. Much cheaper than any other place online. I’m expecting with a girl, so we’ll see how the bright lime green and dark blue and plaid look in a purple room. :/

Very effective! Took exactly one attempt per pet to permanently keep them out of my living room. No more “accidents” in that room ever since. I don’t even have to turn it on any more. They just stay away.

Now they only “go” on the carpet just inside the house next to the doggie door. Only when I’m not home. Not sure how to fix that behavior.

This is the most wonderful series. We own the Big Aquarium and the Big Zoo. My seven-year-old will watch the Aquarium over and over if I would let him. My four-year-old loves both of the videos and has learned so much. He has talked to me about “endangered” animals and how Rhino horns are made of Keratin. The seven-year-old is just amazed at the behind the scenes information on how big places like these work. He can’t get enough. They learn facts about animals and how they are taken care of by professionals. Not just what the names of the animals are. These videos go beyond that without being complicated or hard to follow. They are awesome and I highly recommend them to anyone with inquisitive kids.

I have a year old puppy who had several accidents in my room. I had been religiously cleaning the carpet by hand, with the steam cleaner and I still wanted to rip out the carpet. It was frustrating. On a whim I tried this. Although it seems odd, you have to SATURATE the carpet. I even covered it with a plastic tarp. IT WORKED, and the smell hasn’t returned. Best of all my dog hasn’t had one accident in my room since. There must be no traces of his urine odor even for him to sniff out.

This is a great book, top-notch quality both on the text, pictures, quality of the paper used and information provided. In my opinion just one thing could make this book even better: a better organization/rating system for the fishes/invertebrates covered. The author put a lot of text for each fish/invertabrate without a simple to read classification on wheter a beginner like myself should buy or not that particular animal. For that I am using the excellent The Complete Book of the Marine Aquarium [Hardcover] By Vincent B. Hargreaves, which provides a rating from 1 thru 5 on each animal depending on the complexity of keeping it on a fish tank.

Customer Review: Works fine on Vista
The product description does list Vista, but as B. Watanabe points out, the box itself does not. As with B Watanabe I bought this specifically because it says it is Vista compatible. However, I actually tried installing it and it installed just fine and works properly. So far I have seen no problems other than the box that does not list Vista. The only complaint I have is that installer for the software is not digitally signed verifying the publisher.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! I ordered this program/screensaver to give as a gift -specifically because it was supposed to be VISTA compatible (unlike other programs.) Unfortunately, the box I received (unlike the product described on line) did NOT list VISTA as one of the supported systems. As a result, I did not actually test out the program but am, instead, returning it. The same thing happened with the one other program I purchased from Amazon at the same time. I am very disappointed and must now try to find two replacement gifts very, very quickly. On a positive note, Amazon’s customer service was excellent. They are refunding my rush shipping.

I’ve been giving Pet Tabs to my 10 year old German Shepherd off and on for the last 5 years. When I found them again, I decided that I would give them to him daily as recommended. Well, I am happy I did. His coat is full, he has minimal shedding problems now (we will see since it is just getting warmer here in Conn.) and he seems younger. He likes the taste of the Pet Tabs Plus so it’s easy to give them to him. Definitely worth the price. I love my Zeus.

I loved this book! It has very in-depth information. I’ve always had problems with algae in my planted aquarium and this book explains several reasons why this occurs and how to prevent it. It explains, in detail, nutrient requirements, lighting options, ways that fish and invertebrates interact with plants, and which plants are best for beginners. It explains complicated information with clear diagrams. Finally, there is a great list of plants with photos and info. The only negative thing I can say is that this book is probably not the best for someone who only wants one or two plants in their aquarium and is looking for a simple introduction. This book isn’t very simple, but it does offer clear explanations of many topics relating to growing plants in your aquarium.

Customer Review: Excellent but not a reference guide
This DVD is awesome as an instructional, fairly comprehensive guide to marine life. It can not, however, be used as a reference to look up species and search, for instance, for the name of a fish sighted. The best way to use this DVD is as an enjoyable movie of all varieties of fish life. The camera work is exceptional, the number of species highlighted is good, the facts presented about each species are interesting. All in all, a great value and a good way to prepare for carribean dives but cannot be used as a reference.
Customer Review: Much better than I would have expected…
I own the German version of this DVD and love it. This is really what I’ve been waiting for. I took my laptop and this encyclopedia along on my last diving vacation and was able to learn so much about what I was seeing underwater. There are really facts in this DVD that are hardly known even by diving instructors - as I found out! The menu makes it really easy to find what one is looking for and the films are not only informative, but also entertaining and full of beautiful footage. I highly recommend it!

Customer Review: Unchallenging, slow paced game.
Nice enough looking fish and water habitats, but the game is unchallenging and therefore probably not all that interesting to most adult players. There are also no instructions (from what I could tell). You kind of have to figure it out yourself, which isn’t hard, but I still would have liked clearer objectives to the game. I also couldn’t figure out how to make the aquarium my screensaver, as it says you can on the box. I much prefer “Fish Tycoon” (Activision), where you have to earn the money to buy supplies, and you can sell fish you breed and discover new species.
Customer Review: I love my aquarium
It’s a simple game. Create your fishtank and buy your fish. Feed them, they will survive. You can research your fish with the encyclopedia. I’ve had a good time with the game. Each fish has it’s own personality. I’ve had no trouble saving my games as a previous review stated. If you take care of your fish, they will grow and breed. All in all, for the price, it’s worth it. And much easier than owning my own aquarium! It’s a relaxing simple thing in a sometimes too complex world. DEFINITELY TURN THE MUSIC UP!

Customer Review: Perfect
This item is perfect. It fit under the seat neatly and was easy to place there. My puppy was very content. He uses the sherpa pad as a comfort item now, as it easily removes. The vented sides with the velcro closures were useful and the construction was high quality.

Customer Review: It worked for me! (And more importantly, for the cat)
I’ve been struggling with a hard-sided “Kabin Kennel” for years, and this was SO much easier for me and my cat. She seemed a lot more relaxed, and didn’t rub her nose raw meowing through hard plastic airholes. Instead of having a metal handle that cut my hand, these two carry straps let me balance her on my hip — I didn’t really need the shoulder strap. I liked the velcro-closed end flaps that let me hide her or peek at her.

Top or endloading made it easier to get her inside (not to mention to leave it in the living room as a bed; I put catnip in it for a few weeks beforehand and fed her treats there to convince her it wasn’t all bad). That also made it easier to get her in and out at security.

The fleece liner wandered a bit under her and I put a second liner beneath it as a precaution, but I think she liked the snuggly fleece. I’m so grateful I had this thing; it just happened to be the first time I had a serious delay while travelling with kitty. The zip pocket was great for stowing my travel documents and hers.

My cat tends to snooze on the plane, so I didn’t have a problem with her trying to get out. Getting her under the seat was a bit challenging, but I was on a Delta flight, and it *did* fit — the struts bend enough to make up for the one inch difference.

I bought this swimsuit for my daughter but it was NOT worth it. My daughter being in NJ state aquaducks team has regular practice schedules of 3 hours every alternate day. After the second week of its use, the color started to fade. Please do not buy. Its worth spending little extra money and buy speedo brand than buying this swim wear.

This swimsuit is very high quality. It really holds up in the water and doesn’t fade even with excessive fading. It does run a bit smaller than a normal suit, but I think that is because it is more of a competitive swimmers type suit.
