After searching and reading the great reviews, I decided to buy this product. It arrived about 3 days later and I was so excited to try this product in hope it would remove the stains on my carpet but it DIDN’T, it didn’t do a bit, not even the stain from lipsticks, spaghetti spots etc.. Not sure if you had to use this with something else, but the product itself didn’t work for me at all.

Very good product. I have not found anything better in 25 years of having animals around the house. It does take the odor out which is all I have been asking for. It works good on stains too. No chemical or highly purfumed smell.

If you want a great book to help you simplify your life and begin to wean you and your family off the rampant consumerism of today, THIS IS IT. A book for the 21st century in the spirit of the Whole Earth Catalog. Big and thorough, it goes into detail upon detail of the stuff you aunt or uncle would have told you if they lived in the country. While they don’t tell you where to buy stuff (WEC did), it does tell you what to look for when you buy, so maybe a better deal? My only complaint is that the type is so small I’ve had to order a magnifier to read it.

Customer Review: great for small dogs and puppies!
I have a baby yorkie and these doors are great (I got 4 of them)! The pressure mounts are really sturdy if you invest the time to make sure you set them up correctly, I can push and pull the gate and it won’t even budge! The gate is only knee high so it’s just an easy step (not to mention it’s good exercise too!). I won’t recommend this gate for medium size dogs because they can jump and hurt themselves, it’s best for puppies and toy breeds.

Customer Review: Great toy, but…
My baby (now 9 months) has loved this since he was little. The music quality is great and he enjoys the lights and bubbles. The problem is that he wakes himself up in the middle of the night by accidentally turning it on. It also makes a lot of noise when he bumps into it (even without turning it on) and it wakes me up over the baby monitor. So…we installed it in his play area, on our gate, and he loves it.

I ordered the Sea Monkeys on Mars kit for my office, and I absolutely love it. I have had my tank up for about a month, and I have several adults swimming around. I really like the look of this tank. It’s fun to watch them swim around the arches and the spaceship. I have a million bubble air pump, and I use it on the days when I am at work. If you only have the aqua leash, you can attach a small air stone (from the aquarium store) to the end of it to make little bubbles. Put it in the water, push the air out, pull the aqua leash out of the water, get more air, put it back in the water, etc… I feed them about once a week. The instructions that come with the kit are not the best. Go to www.sea-monkeys.com for better instructions. There is also a forum at www.seamonkeymania.com that is very helpful if you have questions.

Very effective! Took exactly one attempt per pet to permanently keep them out of my living room. No more “accidents” in that room ever since. I don’t even have to turn it on any more. They just stay away.

Now they only “go” on the carpet just inside the house next to the doggie door. Only when I’m not home. Not sure how to fix that behavior.

This works well for my cat. He is still a kitten, so time will tell how it will hold up to a 20 lb. mature cat! It is not as sturdy as the other one I have, but it does the job. It is better if you put it on carpet or a rug, because it can slide on bare floors. He likes to scratch the sisal part, but does not scratch the carpeted area of the post. All in all….it’s ok!

I purchased the product as a replacement for an aging but well used sisal rope cone. My cat made a beeline for the post, but was quickly frustrated because the cone kept tipping over. The move from heavy cone to light plastic base was a big mistake by the manufacturer, and the resulting product has less value. I am planning to returnn the product to Amazon.com. This product is not suitable for 8lb. cats or larger.

Customer Review: Otherwise Good Product with One Major Flaw…
I have owned these cat feeders for several months, so this review is from a seasoned owner. My two cats, when left to their own devices, will overeat, and put on too much weight. So, I was hoping these pet feeders would provide good portion control without me having to be around all the time.

Setup: Several other reviews say that the setup is difficult and unintuitive; I completely agree. The secondary instruction “cheat sheet” linked to elsewhere was a big help, and once I had that, programming was not too hard.

Operation: The devices run for a long time on their D cell batteries. Operation was as advertised, and the devices dispensed the food reliably. One complaint; when you have to replace the batteries, the unit has to be reprogrammed from scratch. However this happens once every few months, so it’s not that big of a deal.

This brings me to the Achilie’s heel of these units: within one month, my cats had both learned how to defeat them.

The cats quickly figured out that if they stuck their paw all the way up the chute and poke around, that it would dislodge a pellet of food. Granted, just one pellet, but being cats, they have little else to do all day, and can repeat this as necessary.

Ultimately, the cats ended up getting to eat as much as they wanted anyway. Might as well have just left big bowls of food out for them.

Customer Review: Does what it claims
We have a 9 year old lab mix who has terrible arthritis, making it tough for him to jump up into my Toyota Highlander. But he loves to go on walks. I recently pulled out my back trying to lift him up into the car (he weighs about 80 pounds), so I was looking for a solution to make it easier to take him to our local nature trails where he is allowed to run off lead. This unit works very well and I highly recommend it.

After reading review of this and other products, I chose the Petstep. There is nothing to do for assembly, although it was delivered with bracing that allows you to lock the unit in the unfolded position. It is slightly awkward to fold and unfold, but given what it is designed to do, I can’t imagine any way to build it that would make it easier, except perhaps to add handles to the sides.

The unit folds and unfolds pretty easily. There is a spring loop catch to hold it closed. I don’t know how long that will last, but it seems adequate. It is not so heavy that lifting it into the car is a problem. I usually put the dogs in the cargo area and then the ramp fits on the floor of the back seat.

The ramps is pretty solid when unfolded. The treads are rubberized for traction. The unit is rated for 250 or 300 pounds, so I decided to try it myself. At 200 pounds, when I walked up it, it felt a bit unstable, especially at the center. For the dog, though, it is perfectly adequate.

I did not find much merit to those who claim there is a pinching hazard. It would be odd to have your fingers placed anywhere near the crush points while folding this. And there are clear labels warning of the hazard.

Customer Review: Best Investment for a Doggy Owner!
Hands down, these are the best thing I could have bought for my 14lb Westie! I have a huge king size sleigh bed that I share with my pooch, and was looking for a quality set of stairs. Wood looks nice, but as my father, who does construction says, although it’ll look nice, will be too heavy.

I bought these for $50+ at Petsmart and thought THAT was a value until I saw it sold here for much less!

The ‘carpeting’ on it gives her a nice grip, the plastic, although cheap looking, is nice and light for me to move to clean under it. The height is also perfect for the bed! (Something that is lacking in all the other much pricier stairs Ive looked at.) At first she was hesitate to use it, but after some coaxing with treats, she realized that she can now get on my bed without begging and now uses it EVERY single time, both to get on and off.

This is a must have, especially if you have a breed that is prone to luxating patella like I do!

Since it’s a daily necessity and is very sturdy, I say this is the best investment I could have made, especially since even I use it as much as she does! lol Yes, I am quite petite at 5′ 110lbs, but I use it all the time to get on and off my bed! I’ve had this for over a year now, and it still looks brand new (carpeting is easy to vaccum with my hand held vaccum and wipes down cleanly) The spacing of the steps and width of the steps is so easy to use, even I have no issues using it and I would think my paws are bigger than hers! lol

PS. Ive been told many times and read it repeatedly that if something is too high for my dog to jump ON, imagine how bad it is for her knees to jump off! If not for the convenience for YOU to have to pick up your dog onto furniture, then do it for their health when you imagine the impact on their joints when they jump off!

Customer Review: height is great for high beds
I bought these from a local pet store for my 8 week old beagle puppy. She learned very quickly how to use them. They are perfect for her now but I am not sure how great they’ll be when she is bigger. But if you have high bed these are the way to go. I wouldn’t purchase these for a large dog that is a senior as they would probably be to narrow. I would say great for dogs 30 pounds and under.

Customer Review: Bird Bath Works Well
I have had this product for over two years. Last winter we had a stretch of 9 degree nights and it performed like a champ! The water is a comfortable temperature. We recently had 16″ of snow in two days, and the birds are still taking baths! The pressure screw mount holds the clamp on the deck railing very securely but the clip on the base of the bird bath could be a bit more secure. We have raccoons sitting in the bath on occasion and they can tilt it a little, so that the bath is not level on the railing. I have not had any problems with the heating element. It is un-plugged all summer. The wobbly clip is the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars.
